How to apply

FROM JUNE 1st ALL APPLICATIONS HAVE TO BE SEND BY E-MAIL. ONLY ELECTRONICALLY SUBMITTED WILL BE CONSIDERED!

Application are to be send to info@cia.is with the subject line "spontaneous support"

A full application consists of:

- A completed and signed application (see application forms) Applications with missing information will not be considered. The application form can be filled out and saved on your computer.
- A CV with sufficient information about education and artistic activity
- A description of the artist’s practice (maximum 1 page)
- Documentation of artwork: Website, jpgs, pdf (not more than 5 total)

and
in case of a residency/travel

- A motivation statement for the residency/travel (no more that 1 page) and the invitation from the institution(s) abroad (e-mail or scan of invitation letter) in case of a project
- A description of the project, the invitation from the institution(s) abroad and costs projection (e-mail or scan of invitation letter) in case of a publication
- A description of the content of the publication, its size, distribution and costs projection

Please keep in mind that a good application is clear, concise and convincing. Attachments to applications may only be sent by e-mail.
